The Universe of Numbers

Numbers often contain hidden connections between science, religion, and superstition. The number 7, for instance, is common in fairy tales; in Christianity, the 3 stands for the trinity; and in Judaism, the 1 signifies the existence of just one God. According to Jewish belief, the 13 is a lucky number, while superstition stemming from Christianity associates it with misfortune. Even the digital world of ones and zeros was first invented in order to explain God’s creation of the Earth from nothingness. An interactive table uses games, pictures, film clips, and texts to tell hundreds of such stories about the world of numbers.
